Since 2006, Mini Rodini’s vision has been to be the first choice for conscious parents and gift buyers. From the very beginning, sustainability has been at the core of what we do, and we work continuously to lead in both environmental and social standards within the fashion industry. We aim to achieve this by offering high-quality products – designed to last over time, both in shape and function.
The materials we use play a key role in how our clothes affect both the planet and the people who make them. That’s why we work exclusively with certified materials that are either organic or recycled – ensuring traceability, lower environmental impact, and safer conditions in the supply chain.
Here, you can learn more about the materials we choose and the certifications that back them.
At Mini Rodini, 100% of the cotton we use is organic and certified. Cotton is one of the most widely used materials in clothing – it’s soft on the skin, breathable, and durable. Organic cotton is grown without synthetic pesticides or chemical fertilizers, helping to conserve water and reduce the environmental impact of cotton farming. By avoiding harmful substances in the growing process, organic cotton becomes a safer choice – for both the planet and the people who wear our clothes.
At Mini Rodini, we use only recycled and certified polyester in our polyester garments – including tracksuits, puffer jackets, and outerwear. Polyester is a commonly used textile thanks to its durability, quick-drying qualities, and lightweight feel. However, producing virgin polyester is resource-intensive and highly polluting. The recycled polyester we use is made from post-consumer plastic waste – such as PET bottles and discarded polyester textiles – which is cleaned, shredded, and spun into new yarn. The result is a material with the same performance as virgin polyester, but with a significantly lower environmental impact.
Because recycled polyester comes from waste that would otherwise end up in landfills, it also contributes to better waste management. By choosing recycled over virgin polyester, we help reduce emissions, conserve resources, and cut down on plastic waste.
TENCEL™ Lyocell is an award-winning fabric with a cotton-like feel and high performance. It is light, soft, strong, and comfortable – offering both functionality and low environmental impact.
The fibre is made from sustainably sourced cellulose pulp from fast-growing trees such as eucalyptus and beech. TENCEL™ Lyocell is produced in a closed-loop process that recycles 99.5% of the water and solvents used, greatly reducing the need for harmful chemicals and minimizing emissions. The fibre is developed by the innovation company LENZING™ and has received multiple recognitions, including the European Union’s European Award for the Environment.
Wool is a natural fibre with excellent functional properties. It’s not only great at keeping us warm – it’s also elastic, breathable, and helps regulate body temperature by absorbing and releasing moisture. This keeps you comfortable in both cold and shifting weather conditions.
At Mini Rodini, it’s essential that the wool we use comes from animals that are treated responsibly. That’s why we use only certified wool from RWS (Responsible Wool Standard) and GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) sources.
Using organic and certified wool helps ensure better animal welfare, responsible land management, and a lower environmental footprint. It also means the wool is free from harmful chemicals commonly used in conventional wool processing – making it safer for both people and the planet.
ECONYL® is a regenerated nylon fibre made from nylon waste – such as discarded fishing nets, industrial plastic, and textile scraps. The waste is collected, cleaned, and processed into high-quality ECONYL® yarn, which has the same performance and feel as conventional nylon.
At Mini Rodini, we use ECONYL® for our swimwear and selected activewear. It’s durable, lightweight, and elastic – making it ideal for children’s swimsuits and sportswear.
