Mini Rodini’s Founder and Creative Director, Cassandra Rhodin, has long been personally committed to social and environmental justice. In 2018, that commitment evolved into Collections with a Cause – a series of charity collections created to support organisations working for the wellbeing of animals, people, and the planet.
Each year, Cassandra selects a non-profit organisation and designs a dedicated collection. 20% of the selling price is donated directly to the chosen cause. Beyond the donation itself, we use Mini Rodini’s platforms to raise awareness, inform, and engage – helping shine a light on important issues and the people working to solve them.
So far, we’ve supported: – Sea Shepherd, defending marine ecosystems – Wildhood Foundation, protecting endangered wildlife in East Africa – Galgos del Sol, rescuing abandoned greyhounds in Spain – Besesaka Boxing & Education Program, providing education and safe spaces for children in Ghana – Doctors Without Borders, delivering emergency medical care in conflict and disaster zones
Thanks to the support of our customers, we’ve raised over €100,000 to date – and we continue to grow that impact every year. Because these collections are not just about design – they’re about using creativity as a tool for change.
In February 2023, Mini Rodini’s Founder and Creative Director, Cassandra Rhodin, travelled to Bukom, Ghana, to meet the children and youth in the Besesaka Boxing & Education Program.
Together with the kids, Cassandra co-created a sports-inspired capsule collection: “M. Rodini for Besesaka Boxing in Bukom” – designed for adults, teens, and kids.
To support the program, Mini Rodini donates 20% of the selling price from each co-lab branded product to Besesaka, helping provide access to education, training, and safe spaces for the next generation.
In 2018 and again in 2021, Mini Rodini joined forces with Sea Shepherd – the global non-profit organisation working to defend marine life and protect our oceans from illegal exploitation and destruction.
Both collaborations were built around the shared belief that the next generation deserves a living ocean – and that activism, design, and education can go hand in hand. Each capsule collection delivered a powerful message:: → “Stop Whaling Now!” in 2018 → “Our oceans are dying – leave their residents alone!” in 2021
The prints, inspired by Sea Shepherd’s real-life campaigns, were created by Mini Rodini’s Founder and Creative Director Cassandra Rhodin in collaboration with Captain Paul Watson, founder of Sea Shepherd.
“I think there are many synergies between Sea Shepherd and Mini Rodini. Cassandra is not afraid to take a stand for what she believes in – this is refreshing, inspiring, and very much in line with our mission. For me, diversity means bringing together artists, organisations, companies, and people who want to create change.” — Captain Paul Watson, Founder of Sea Shepherd
To support Sea Shepherd’s vital work at sea, Mini Rodini donates 20% of the selling price from each co-lab product directly to the organisation. These funds help fuel missions, fund equipment, and keep the movement alive — for the oceans, and for future generations.
In 2019 and again in 2022, Mini Rodini partnered with Wildhood Foundation to support wildlife conservation efforts in the Lower Zambezi Valley, Zimbabwe – with a particular focus on Akashinga, the world’s first fully armed, all-female anti-poaching unit.
The Akashinga project, founded by the International Anti-Poaching Foundation, is more than conservation. It offers training and employment to unemployed mothers, survivors of abuse, widows, and orphans, giving them a chance to rebuild their lives while protecting vast wilderness areas. The program is based on a community-driven model, where conservation and empowerment go hand in hand.
“I love the Akashinga project. It’s a huge success on so many levels – employing women and helping them become independent and able to support themselves and their families. The female rangers also have a powerful impact on the wider local community.” — Cassandra Rhodin, Founder & Creative Director
Through this collaboration, Mini Rodini donates 20% of the selling price from each co-branded product to Wildhood Foundation and the Akashinga project, helping fund both environmental protection and social transformation.
In 2021, Mini Rodini partnered with Galgos del Sol, a non-profit dog shelter in Murcia, Spain, to raise awareness and funds for the rescue of Spanish Galgos – a loyal and gentle breed traditionally used for hunting.
Every year, an estimated 50,000 to 100,000 Galgos are abandoned when the hunting season ends. Many are dumped on the streets, left in remote areas, or worse — found in appalling conditions: malnourished, injured, traumatized, and in need of urgent care. Through this collaboration, Mini Rodini aims to support Galgos del Sol’s vital work — rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming Galgos who would otherwise not survive. Mini Rodini donates 20% of the selling price from each co-lab branded product to Galgos del Sol, helping give these dogs a second chance at life, dignity, and a safe home.
