At Mini Rodini, children’s safety is a top priority. That’s why we carefully assess each garment to ensure that it is free from hazards such as loose buttons, long strings, or other design elements that could pose a risk to young children.

Every product undergoes a risk assessment where we evaluate potential safety, quality, and chemical risks. Based on this, we determine whether more in-depth testing is needed – and, when required, we conduct third-party laboratory tests to ensure compliance.

Our children’s safety protocols, chemical restrictions, and quality standards are aligned with the strictest safety requirements across all markets where we sell our products.

This holistic approach ensures that Mini Rodini’s clothes are safe to wear – not just for the kids who use them, but for the environment and the workers who make them.

Chemicals are used throughout the textile production process – from dyeing fabrics to finishing garments. At Mini Rodini, we believe that their use must always be safe, controlled, and non-hazardous.

That’s why we enforce a strict chemical policy and maintain a Restricted Substances List (RSL) that exceeds the EU’s REACH regulation. Our goal is to protect not only the environment, but also the workers handling the materials and the children wearing the clothes.

To ensure compliance, we:

• Conduct regular factory audits focused on chemical handling, storage, and worker safety

• Perform random chemical testing every season to monitor and verify adherence to our RSL

• Require robust chemical management systems from all our suppliers

The chemicals known as fluorocarbons are non-degradable and commonly found in rainwear and high-performance outerwear. They are linked to long-term harm to both human health and the environment.

That’s why Mini Rodini has been completely fluorocarbon-free since 2014. Instead, we use BIONIC-FINISH ECO® – a water-repellent treatment used on all our outerwear. This eco-friendly technology is free from fluorocarbons, formaldehyde, and paraffin, making it a safer and more responsible choice. BIONIC-FINISH ECO® helps protect children from unnecessary chemical exposure, while reducing environmental impact.
