OUR COMMITMENT TO SUSTAINABILITY

At Mini Rodini, sustainability is at the core of everything we do — from how our clothes are designed and made, to how they’re packaged, shipped, used, and repaired. We believe in transparency, long-term thinking, and pushing for higher standards across the industry. Our goal is simple: to create clothes kids love to wear — made with as little impact on people and the planet as possible.

When Cassandra Rhodin was expecting her first child, she couldn’t find kidswear with great designs made from sustainable materials. So she created it — and Mini Rodini was born.

  • "As long as we make a better product than what’s on the conventional market, Mini Rodini has a reason to exist. As an independent brand, we can stay true to our values — and drive real change.”

— Cassandra Rhodin, Founder and Creative Director

OUR PROMISE

The textile industry has a serious impact — from pollution to unfair working conditions. At Mini Rodini, we aim to be a better choice by putting sustainability and responsibility first in everything we do.

We’re committed to creating a healthier, fairer, and more sustainable business model — and we want to show you how. Learn more about the actions we take to care for people and planet.

OUR WORK

Making new clothes always leaves a footprint — on people, animals, and the environment. That’s why we continuously challenge how we produce and strive to make better choices at every step. If new garments are to be made, they should be made responsibly. With certified materials, traceable production, and durable design, we aim to offer more thoughtful alternatives — created to be worn, repaired, and passed on.

OUR GARMENTS AND PRODUCTS

At Mini Rodini, we aim to make our products as sustainably produced as possible. That’s why all our garments are made from 100% certified materials. These certifications ensure that the materials meet strict environmental, chemical, and social standards. We work exclusively with globally recognized certifications like GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) and GRS (Global Recycled Standard). Unlike many certifications that only apply to the raw material, these cover the entire production chain – including water use, chemical handling, labor conditions, and quality measures like shrinkage and color fastness.

CIRCULARITY

The most sustainable product is the one that can be used again and again. That’s why we design our garments to last – in both quality and style – so they can be passed on and loved by more than one child. To support longer product life, we offer care guides on our website and free repair services in our stores in Stockholm and London. Because when clothes are properly cared for and mended, they stay in use longer – reducing waste and making the most of the resources already used.

CERTIFICATIONS

At Mini Rodini, we work with some of the most comprehensive and strict certifications on the market, such as GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) and GRS (Global Recycle Standard). These certifications ensure that the entire production chain – from raw material to finished product – is reviewed and meets requirements for environmental impact, traceability, and social conditions.

FAIR WEAR MEMBERS AND OUR WORK WITH LIVING WAGES

Good working conditions and living wages are fundamental human rights – yet they are still far from guaranteed in the textile industry. At Mini Rodini, we actively work to help change that through concrete measures. Our Living Wage Project aims to ensure that workers in our supply chain are paid enough to cover basic needs for themselves and their families – not just the legal minimum. This is a long-term effort that requires collaboration, transparency, and close relationships with our suppliers. As a member of the Fair Wear Foundation, we also work within a framework that monitors and supports improvements in working conditions, including health and safety, working hours, and freedom of association. Together, these efforts are part of our responsibility to contribute to a fairer and more sustainable textile industry.

OUR PRODUCTION

We are committed to making our production as sustainable as possible and continuously work to improve our processes to support better conditions for both people and the planet. This includes paying living wages, collaborating with carefully selected suppliers, and ensuring safe and fair working conditions through regular third-party audits. We never burn unsold products. Instead, we actively work to reduce overproduction and give surplus a second life. Mini Rodini leftover fabrics and materials are reused in our upcycling collections, helping to minimize waste and make better use of existing resources.

COLLECTIONS WITH A CAUSE

Since 2018, Mini Rodini has created collections where 20% of the revenue goes to supporting various non-profit organizations. So far, we have contributed financially to Sea Shepherd, Wildhood Foundation, Besesaka Boxing & Education Program, and Doctors Without Borders. Through these initiatives, we aim to highlight organizations working with animal and environmental protection, children’s rights, and humanitarian aid.

OUR SUSTAINABILITY REPORT

Our policies and reports show how we integrate sustainability into every part of our supply chain – from material sourcing to production and working conditions. They define the standards we follow, such as living wages, chemical use, and supplier conduct. For Mini Rodini, having clear policies and reporting is key to turning our values into action and ensuring long-term accountability. We also publish an annual sustainability report that outlines our efforts and progress. By sharing this information openly, we aim to give our customers a transparent view of how our products are made.

OUR CHEMICAL MANAGEMENT

As a kids wear company, it is essential that Mini Rodini follows strict chemical safety standards. We take a precautionary approach to ensure that our products are safe for babies and children, who are especially sensitive to harmful substances. Chemical safety is just as important for the people who make our clothes as it is for the children who wear them. That’s why we work only with certified materials, avoid hazardous chemicals, and regularly test both fabrics and finished garments through accredited third-party labs. You can read more below about the steps we take to limit chemical use and meet safety requirements – from fibre to finished product.
