ECO-STAIN REMOVAL GUIDE

Here we share some helpful tips and tricks on how you can remove common stains without the use of chemicals, using only regular household products.

Berries: Drop some lemon juice or vinegar on the stain, then wash in cold water and liquid laundry detergent/dish soap. Let it wash for a few minutes and rinse.

Blood: Fresh blood, Rinse off in cold water. Dried blood, Soak in cold water. Sprinkle salt on the stain and let it sit for an hour. Wash in cold water.

Candle wax: Put the garment in the freezer (in a plastic bag). Then break off the solidified wax. Alternatively, place paper towels on top and under the stain and gently iron so that the wax melts onto the paper. The process may need to be repeated several times. If there is still a grease stain, use laundry soap or liquid detergent.

Chewing gum: Put the garment in the freezer (in a plastic bag). Scrape off the gum when it has solidified.

Chocolate: Rub the stain with soap or milk and wash with cold water.

Coffee: Soak directly in cold water and some soap, then wash as normal.

Grass: Rub the stain with soap and let the garment sit for an hour. Then wash it in the machine as usual.

Grease: Sprinkle potato flour on the stain and let it sit overnight. Brush off and wash in warm soapy water.

Ink: Use stain remover on the stain and then wash as usual.

Mold: Mix baking soda and vinegar into a paste and rub it on the stain, then wash in hot water.

Oil: Rub the stain with butter. Wash in lukewarm soapy water.

Paint: Pre-treat paint stains with soap. Rub and then wash in the machine as usual.

Pine resin: Remove with pure alcohol and then wash as usual.

Tomato, ketchup, carrot: Drop lemon juice or vinegar on the stain. Then wash with cold water and liquid detergent/dish soap.

Toothpaste: Rinse the garment thoroughly with lukewarm water as soon as possible. Then wash the garment as hot as possible according to the care label.
