Mini Rodini and adidas Originals in a unique global collaboration

Swedish childrenswear brand Mini Rodini is doing a yearlong and global collaboration together with adidas Originals. All releases are filled with limited edition pieces of iconic adidas Originals styles with print design by Cassandra Rhodin, creative director and founder at Mini Rodini.

The first release was launched on December 1st (2016) and on May 4th, the third drop will hit the stores. During 2017, two more releases will come.

– Mini Rodini is really looking forward to this collaboration. adidas Originals is so iconic as a brand. I've been wearing original silhouettes since I was a kid, says Cassandra Rhodin, Creative Director at Mini Rodini.

Nothing is truer to this than Mini Rodini, it’s a natural fit for the Originals brand identity and we’re very excited to be collaborating on a collection dedicated to kids and the imprint they leave, says Nic Galway, Creative Director of adidas Originals and Style.

The sustainability factor in the collaboration is important for both Mini Rodini and adidas Originals. Therefore, all apparel is made out of 100 percent organic cotton and recycled polyester. The footwear is made out of partly recycled materials.

– To be able to make people and planet friendly products more accessible to a wider audience globally is fantastic,
Cassandra continues.

The third release consists of one tracksuit, one t-shirt, one t-shirt/leggings set, one windbreaker together with one backpack, duffel bag, and two bucket hats, in addition to a Superstar sneaker on the footwear side.

If you’re still daydreaming about the first release – we are thrilled to tell that the Panda track suit in white from the launch in December (2016) is back and will be available in our online store and Mini Rodini owned stores together with the third release.

The collection is available in size 62-116 (apparel) and 19-27 (footwear).

adidas Originals by Mini Rodini will be sold in Mini Rodini’s online store, release time 10:00 AM (local time, CET), in addition to Mini Rodini owned stores in Sweden at Odengatan (Stockholm) Vallgatan (Gothenburg) and Skomakaregatan (Malmö) all open at 10:00 AM (local time, CET).

Please note that Mini Rodini will have a limited purchase of two products per category (apparel, shoes, bag, hat), regardless of size and color. That means that in Mini Rodini’s online store and own stores, you can purchase eight pieces in total. Other retailers may have a different or none limitation. Mini Rodini online store won’t have a queue system during the release.
